BIODIVERSITY AND ECOLOGICAL ENGINEERING EXHIBITION

An event where commitments are put into practice

affiche en anglais

Recent years have seen an acceleration in commitments to biodiversity, making ‘solutions through nature’ an essential and privileged lever for adapting to a changing climate.

Join us from 19 to 21 November 2024 for the first edition of the show, which brings together the most comprehensive range of products and services for improving and restoring biodiversity and ecological functions in all environments. It brings together the widest range of professionals for whom the issue of biodiversity is a priority!

The show is being organised in partnership with the AMF, Les Eco Maires and the Union Professionnelle du Génie écologique (UPGE), a key sector for all human activities aimed at repairing, protecting or renaturalising living spaces in the face of climate and ecological realities.

Director of the Biodiversity and Ecological Engineering Exhibition

‘We want to ensure that biodiversity is taken into account across the board, so that we can develop territories and social models that are both appropriate and sustainable. Nature remains the best ally human societies have in dealing with climate change. Solutions through nature’ are an essential and privileged lever for adapting to a changing climate. With biodiversity commitments becoming more and more concrete every year, it has become imperative to create a dedicated event that can bring together regional decision-makers, private players and associations to take effective joint action’.

PROTECTING BIODIVERSITY
A MAJOR CHALLENGE

Biodiversity is under threat:
Urban expansion, intensive agriculture, deforestation, pollution…

The restoration, preservation and protection of biodiversity and living things are now fully identified as major challenges in the same way as the climate.

Biodiversity is the subject of international negotiations (COP – Convention of Parties) which commit countries to targets and trajectories for the protection of biodiversity.

TO INVESTMENTS
SIGNIFICANT

In 2023, the European Parliament and French government respectively passed a law on Nature Restoration and set out a 2030 Biodiversity Strategy at national level…

These commitments bring funding for biodiversity at European level up to €100 billion by 2027 and increase the amount of investments for water and biodiversity by €1.2 billion in France.

Legal obligations are introduced to incorporate biodiversity into infrastructure and real estate projects, thereby promoting sustainable building practices.
